Minnesota State Champion Chef Brent Pilrain and brother Brian Pilrain, a master butcher, opened Roma in the Spring of 2006. The company started as a small retail market and deli serving prime steaks, sandwiches, and a small catering menu of European-style favorites. In the Spring of 2008 they expanded to an 80-seat restaurant and bar. In 2016, the restaurant moved into the former Wildwood Bowl building. They have tripled their seating capacity, and now have plans to build an on-site nano-brewery to add house made beers. The restaurant specializes in wood-fired pizzas and house made sausages. They have 40 beers on tap, including many Minnesota made favorites.
