Boot Hill, the one you read about in your history books, the one made famous by television’s Gunsmoke, was where transients and cowboys were laid to rest. The reason behind the name? Those buried here were the friendless, the penniless, and the unknowns who died with their boots on. This unique form of burial, with boots sticking out from the ground, coined the term Boot Hill.
Boot Hill Distillery, which sits atop the original Boot Hill burial site, continues the legend of the wild west with a dedication to handcrafted spirits distilled from grain grown on our fifth-generation family farm.
